What is Pilgrim’s Way?
Pilgrim’s Way is a weekly, free newsletter in which I write about an event that occurred during that week sometime in the past, and then talk about what it means for us today. At just 500 words (unless I get carried away), each email will be short and will probably only take you 5 minutes to read.
Who am I?
My name is Aubrey Harris, and this newsletter is one of the many ways I justify the four years I spent at Hillsdale College studying History and journalism. Most of the time, you can find me around the internet writing about things like artificial intelligence, the Catholic faith, and pro-life issues.
When I’m not writing, you can find me trying to justify my second minor (music) by rumbling churches with an organ and trying to teach children how to sing and play liturgical music.
Why subscribe?
I don’t have a paid subscription model (at least at the moment), so I suppose you could get by without subscribing. However, if you don’t subscribe, you’ll probably forget about me, whereas, if you do subscribe, you’ll get a reminder weekly to read a bit of history. It’s the perfect way to collect “fun” facts you can tell your friends at parties so you sound like the well-educated human being you are, and you’ll get a sense of the impact the past has on the present — pretty good for 5 minutes a week.
